My child has never coded. Where should we start?
Minecraft Coding is a starting point for children without previous experience. They begin with block coding to practise step-by-step thinking and may progress to Python when ready. Teachers consider each learner’s age and actual starting skills before recommending a pathway.
Does Minecraft Coding teach block coding or Python?
Both stages are available. Younger learners begin with block coding in Minecraft Education. Students who already have block coding experience can progress to Python programming.
How does Roblox differ from Unity3D?
Roblox focuses on 3D characters, scenes and game development with Lua for learners aged 9 and up who already have some block coding experience and want to create their own games. Unity3D suits upper secondary students who want to build more complex games and develop portfolio projects.
Should we choose only by age?
Age is one factor. Consider coding experience, interests and goals, such as starting to code, making games or developing a portfolio. Our teachers can help recommend a suitable course.
How can we check class times or enrol?
Contact our teachers through the Raise Genius School contact page and share your child’s age, experience and interests so that we can recommend a course and explain current class availability.
