Please note: this course develops foundational skills and personal projects. It does not guarantee admission to further study.

Course information and basic conditions

Course information: Raise IOTBot & AI course (IoT and AI projects): standard fee THB 9,900 for 14 two-hour lessons (28 hours). Seasonal offers may be available; ask for the current price. | Raise Genius School has taught over 12,530 children over 15 years.

Raise IOTBot & AI is a practical Internet of Things and AI project course using LEGO Technic robots and block coding/Python. For learners with some programming experience, taught in small groups with an emphasis on hands-on projects.

IOTRoBot course: build IoT and automation projects, explore technology and analytical thinking, and design engineering projects.

As technology advances, robots and machines increasingly communicate with each other and help people in new ways. Today’s young learners will grow up with robotics and IoT. Help them prepare through

IOTBot project examples

Explore robot demonstrations as starting points for analysing, designing, testing and developing your own project.

Example: robot vacuum cleaner

Develop skills through IoT, automation and AI projects
Course approach

  1. Develop systematic analysis and design skills to create inventions that solve problems.
  2. Practise logical thinking, cause and effect, sequencing and the use of data.
  3. Explore creative possibilities enabled by IoT technology.
  4. Help young learners develop an inventor’s approach through robotics and automation projects. Learners take an active role in projects that interest them, practising thinking and persistence so they can grow into technology creators as well as users.
  5. Enjoy thinking, building, experimenting and presenting your work.
  6. Projects vary with each learner’s interests, skills and age. Challenges should require effort while remaining achievable, building pride through practical progress. Teacher Num believes that effort and commitment help children value the process of making things.
  7. Learners remain at the centre of every step. Teachers guide research, thinking, design, construction, programming and presentation rather than relying only on following a computer demonstration or manual. Reasoning provides the foundation for the work.

Learning objectives

  1. Learn IoT concepts through practical missions and problem solving.
  2. Inspire ideas and systematic thinking through technology, computing and logical skills.
  3. Encourage enjoyable experimentation.
  4. Discover personal strengths and interests.
  5. Prepare for the challenges of the Electronic&Robotic next course.

Who is the IOTRobot course for?

Upper primary and lower secondary learners who want an integrated introduction to robotics: building with LEGO Technic and practising block coding through enjoyable, practical work.

Suitable for learners who:

✓ Have previously studied Minecraft Education or Roblox Game Maker. Previous learning provides a starting point.

✓ Are aged 9 –14 years and have some block coding, Python or robotics experience.

✓ Are interested in creating projects. IoT

✓ Want to explore technology, robotics, automation and AI.

Raise Genius School highlights:

  1. Learn in small groups, with teaching overseen by a master’s graduate in robotics from FIBO, supporting a sound understanding of the subject.
  2. Work beyond instruction manuals: identify and solve problems, respond to new challenges and explore questions relevant to daily life.
  3. Create practical work with active learner participation. See students presenting their projects in → RaiseGeniusFanpage
  4. Find opportunities to share work at activities throughout the year. See examples at → Event

Robotics and AI courses for primary and lower secondary learners, taught by robotics engineers who studied at the Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

The Raise Genius School learning process

  1. Learn robotics concepts directly from robotics teachers.
  2. Research and design a solution, then explain your approach to the teacher, who introduces relevant concepts along the way.
  3. Build from a teacher’s suggested design or your own plan, with guidance throughout the process.
  4. Test repeatedly, then revise your project.
  5. Present your project.
  6. Play, experiment and set further challenges. Build confidence for projects that match your interests and for more demanding tasks.

A learning pathway as students grow

  1. Upper primary and lower secondary: explore interests in automation, robotics and IoT through the IOTRoBot course.
  2. Lower secondary: practise electronics, robotics and programming through Course Electronic & Robotic with IOT
  3. Upper secondary: explore robotics and automation career interests and develop portfolio evidence through Course Advance Raise Robot Maker

Frequently asked questions about IOTBot

How is IOTRoBOT different from a general robotics course?

The course combines practical robotics with IOTRoBot the following areas:

  • Robotics, automation, AI and current technology concepts introduced by robotics engineers.

  • Projects bring together mechanical construction, sensors, motors, embedded control programming, dashboards, IoT connections and applications of AI.

Why choose the IOTRoBOT course?
  • The course page describes three teachers with over five years of RaiseGenius teaching experience and bachelor’s degrees in robotics from FIBO at KMUTT. Ask the team about the teachers for the current class.
  • Close guidance, with no more than three learners per teacher.
  • Teachers’ practical R&D and engineering experience helps them discuss real-world learning pathways.
What can I study after this course?
  • Consider Electronic Robotics with micro:bit. Read more at → Microbit
Who might find IOTRobot unsuitable?
  • Learners seeking only casual entertainment may find the course demanding, as it includes robotics concepts and increasingly complex tasks. Discuss readiness and interests with the team before enrolling.
How do live online classes in small groups work?
  • Learners use a camera, screen sharing and voice conversation with the teacher during class. A dedicated space for submitting work supports feedback and progress.
  • The teacher sends a robotics kit to your home before the course so you can work with the equipment used in class and practise outside lessons.
